About the GCGPC

The Gulfcoast Color Guard and Percussion Circuit(GCGPC) exists for the advancement of winter guards and indoor percussion units along the gulf coast of Florida, Mississippi, and Alabama.  The GCGPC provides leadership, systems, rules, direction, and an arena for the performing units in the gulf coast area.

Centered in Pensacola, Florida, the circuit is made of members from Gulfport, Mississippi to Tallahassee, Florida.  The Director of the GCGPC is Mark Foster.

GCGPC use the rules, score sheets, and judging systems, and the majority of competition classes of Winter Guard International for winter guard and percussion.  The GCGPC does not allow competition in the winter guard Independent World Class division without prior approval of the GCGPC board of directors.

All circuit Color Guard contests are judged by members of the Gulfcoast Judges Association.  The Chief Judge is Fred Feeney of Gulfport, Mississippi.  The GJA is always looking for new members and has an extensive training program that can be tailored to the skills of any prospective judge.

Percussion Judges are selected from adjudicators from across the country.   WGI Panel judges are included in the selection of judges for the Gulf Coast Percussion shows.  The current Percussion Judge coordinator for Percussion is Terry Sanders.
